Medallions Deadline Extended -- Now February 13

Good news -- you have more time to enter Medallions! Because of the change in the timing of our annual conference (which moved from Fall to Spring), we're all getting used to doing Medallion entries at a different time of the year. Which is way the conference planners have decided to give us some additional time.

The new deadline requires entries be POSTMARKED by February 13.

The PRCA Medallion Awards competition recognizes the best work produced by PRCA members across the state of Alabama. Showcase your best PR efforts for a chance to stand out and join a highly regarded circle of previous award recipients.

Go to the online PRCA Medallion website to find the guidelines, online entry forms and other instructions. Good luck! Let's have lots of local competitors in 2010!

Word of Mouth PR -- a Talk with Infant Swimming Resource

Melody Callaway is the Director of Media Relations and Communications for Infant Swimming Resource and she gave a great presentation January 20 at the general membership meeting. She spoke of mobilizing her brand ambassadors to tell the ISR story on blogs and via media interviews, and how she manages enthusiasts who are not employees.

Missed it? Then at least get a glimpse of what Infant Swimming Resource does -- and why. It's controversial for some, certainly polarizing to many -- and worth watching.
